Announcement: Ethereum 2.0 Is Here, And Elitium Supports The Cause

Sometime around December 1st, Ethereum 2.0 will go live

But the official launch process is already all-systems-go with the deposit contract collecting funds to trigger staking.

Prospective stakers can deposit thirty-two Ether per node via a dedicated launch pad in preparation for lift-off. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has contributed $1.4m worth of ETH to the launch pad already.

And Elitium has contributed to the efforts as well.

Elitium Launches 3 Ethereum Nodes

In support of the December take-off, Elitium has launched three Ethereum nodes by locking ninety-six Ether into a phase 0 smart contract. In doing so, we’ll play a part in helping get the upgraded platform off the ground.

— But what’s the reasoning behind Ethereum 2.0?

Well, the Ethereum team are making some significant alterations to their platform ultimately aiming to increase scalability and security all whilst decreasing transaction costs for every user.

As you can see, there are big changes afoot: but it’s not only a big day for Ethereum — it’s an exciting time for Elitium and our community as well.
